Kitchen Stool Reviews

I purchased two of the ST205 chairs seven years ago to use at a penninsula that divides my kitchen from my dining room. I kept the wheels on one of them and static feet on the other one for children to use. My guests always stop and look at the chair for a minute before they figure out (a) whether they want to attempt to sit on it and (b) how to sit on it, but they always end up praising the chair for how it feels--it really does assist in maintaining good posture. For the price, the Office Star chairs are the least expensive way to get into ergonomic seating--all the other brands cost hundreds of dollars.The primary drawback that I have experienced is that they create a large "footprint," i.e. they take up a lot of space (due to the base needing to have such a large diameter for stability) and some would say they are somewhat ugly (unless placed in a steampunk setting, I guess).Regarding comments from other reviewers, it's true that the chair does settle at first when you sit down (even a petite person like myself at 135 lbs), but once you adjust the lever it stays at the correct height. I will try to pay more attention to this to see what happens when larger people use the chairs.Also, as another reviewer commented, I would prefer that the lowest setting be just a little bit lower so that the chairs could also be used at the dining room table in a pinch --they are just a little bit too tall.Also, I never even realized until reading these comments that I could adjust…

This is a great set for a small space. It was delivered promptly and easy to assemble. The only problem I actually had with this was the loose bolts inside the box, I lost one of the bolts because it fell out of the box. Be careful when opening after delivery. Everything lined up well and the item looks exactly like the picture, very pleasing. Would definitely recommend.

This is not an adult sized chair it is a student size or for a very petite person.Very sturdy and very well made, excellent price for the quality you receive

I found the directions for this peice to be extremely vague.The stools are not very sturdy neither are they comfortable for an adult over 110 lbs.The stools took forever to be screwed together and after I was finished I realized that I had put the door flap on the wrong side.Again the directions are quite vague.It's nice to sit my lap top on or to use as a bar while having a party though.

This high rise step is fabulous. At about 2 and a half my son started a unit at daycare about kitchen utensils. He became excited about the increase in his vocabulary and curious about cooking. To enhance his small motor skills and to spend some quality time together I started to do small kitchen projects with him, like making guacamole or mixing the pancake batter or using an apple corer. But he was kneeling on a kitchen chair -- and all it took was one close fall and I realized I needed a better solution. The Guidecraft High Rise Step Up gives him enough stability through it's non-slip padding on the steps. He can also hang onto the handrails for support, so I don't have to worry about him falling.The height of the step makes him around chest level to our kitchen counter so now, at 3, he can comfortably chop cilantro with a butterknife for salsa. The step is also very easy to clean and doesn't take up as much space as the other step up stools that have a bar around the entire step that serves as a safety enclosure.

I remember coming across this step-ladder at an Ace hardware store; on clearance, because folks weren't willing to pay even $70, for this $100 great quality step-ladder!! I bought this for my darling wife, because I couldn't keep her off our inadequate step-stools, and she had an annoying habit of over-reaching, as well!! So, if you can't "beat 'em" (beat 'em some more? No, that's not right!!) get the bestest, greatest, safest, lightest for carrying, step-ladder ever made by Cosco!!!!!!

This arrived quickly and with instructions. I am not handy and it was not as easy to put together because there were extra parts. But it is sturdy and looks very nice.

We spent a long time looking for bar stools for our new kitchen, but couldn't find anything perfect in the stores. When we saw that the Omicron stools were marked down from "retail" price of $300 down to about $50 ($100 for the pair), we thought it looked like a great deal based on the picture. After seeing them up close, they are still a good deal if you can get them for around $50 each. But, after sitting in $200 bar stools in the store, the Omicron stools are not nearly the same quality. The seats are slightly smaller than other stools, and they would better suit someone under 150 pounds. If you are a little larger, you may want to spring for a more heavy duty stool than these.

These barstools were very hard to put together due to their poor construction. I purchased four of these and had problems with each one. One piece did not have the holes drilled where they should have been and my husband had to drill the holes himself. Wood pieces on the legs were different shades so don't exactly match. This is definitely a case of getting what you pay for. They look nice but not sure how long they will last. They will do until I can afford to buy some better ones.

the Vanity Girl Stool is very versatile. Wish I had found it sooner. The trouble is the rest of the family keeps stealing it away for their purposes and I don't get to use it very much!

I've used these stools for a couple of days now and already have 3 chips in the paint. Not durable at all. Also, not very sturdy . Id hold my breath if a larger person sat on it If it weren't such a hassle to take them apart, I'd return them now.I woul not recommend these.

Ladder is light weight, easy to set up and lock safety. Steps wide enough for secure climbing. Tall enough to reach high items in my high peaked ceiling house. Very pleased.

Don't be put off by those "as seen on late-nite TV" promos. This Little Giant product is very well designed, of industrial quality, and rock-solid stable. Bought it to load sports equipment and other gear onto the roof of my SUV, but will be using it as the ladder of choice for interior home projects as well. The deployable bar adds a measure of security and cleverly carries a tool holder and parts tray as well. In short, solid gear and well worth the price.

This is a great product for the price. It traveled around my home, and ended up in its original spot in our screened in porch. We keep our kitties' blankets and toys in the drawers, and the bench is a great place to sit on when in our porch. I suspect the cover will be easy to cover to match the rest of our decor.

Looking good, rolls easily, assembles easily, good delivery. 2nd one I've purchased & I've not been disappointed. Nice & sturdy as I'm a 400# er
