Air King 3-Speed Pivoting Blower #9555

I needed to move air around server racks in a computer center. An engineer suggested a ductwork solution that would have cost a few thousand $. For under three hundred $ I have three of these daisy-chained, running 24/7. We have had an episode of reduced air conditioning function and these fans saved the day. At full speed these beauties kept the racks cool and at only 3 amps on the circuit. One terrific investment.

Soleus Air FSH-40G 16-Inch Back Lit Stand Fan, with Remote Control

I bought this fan 2 years ago from Phoenix and it is still going strong! Its quiet and unwaveringly loyal. I bought my 2nd one just the other day as a gift for my son in Seattle. He enjoys his as much as I enjoy mine. The remote is a big hit with us both. If I can I'm going to send a 3rd one to my sister in Seattle. She is in a studio apt..this fan is perfect.

Ozeri Ultra 42

I bought this fan for my workout area in the basement. I wanted a fan that could move a large volume of air at a reasonable noise level. This fan has met my needs and I'm very happy with it.A little about the fan: it's a crossflow fan, in which a long, narrow impeller moves the air. This type of fan has the advantage of more air flow with less noise. Despite the manufacturer's claim of "noiseless", this fan makes noise. Heck, the wind makes noise, so those people expecting a true "noiseless" fan must be thinking they were getting a magical physics-defying fan.Pros:- This thing blows...but in a good way. It can move air, which is just what I need when working out.- It's relatively quiet. Relatively. Not absolutely. This fan is much quieter than a standard box or oscillating fan (with a propeller) blade, for equal amounts of air being moved.- It doesn't take up much space, an advantage to crossflow fans.- The remote control is useful and has big buttons. I first thought the remote was a gimmick but when I'm on the treadmill it's great to be able to turn the oscillation on or off, or adjust the speed. The large buttons make it easy to use.- The temperature display is a nice touch. I always wondered how hot it gets in our basement...now I know. The display alternates between Fahrenheit and Celsius.Cons:- It's a bit tippy on carpeting. It's a tall fan but the base is narrow. I haven't had it fall over - it's not that unstable. A slightly larger base would be an…

Air King 42-Inch Belt Driven Drum Fan #9942

I bought this fan a couple of years ago for use in my warehouse in Texas. I noticed the fan doesn't really put out a lot of air. I mean it turns and you can feel some air movement, but it's not felt very far away from the unit. I decided something was better than nothing, and would turn it on in my warehouse during the summer days and leave the overhead door open to attempt to reduce the temperature inside. It was only of marginal help. After two seasons of this (maybe 6 months of daily use total since it wasn't needed during the less hot months) I heard a horrible noise coming from the unit, and when I looked, one of the blades had sheared off!! I left it sitting for a year not even thinking to call Air King to purchase a new blade for it. Today (July 26, 2011) I called Air King and they tell me that the model 9942 and all its parts have been discontinued and I can't get a blade for it. I said, "so, I have this expensive fan that only needs a replacement blade and you can't get me one. Do I just throw it away?". She replied, "Yes."I DO NOT recomend this fan or Air King products!! Beware!

Air King 9155 Storm Guard Window Fan, 16-Inch

Great fan. We have a 1600 SF condo with 3.5 floors. I got this because our bedroom has a loft with skylights and gets terribly hot in the summer. I installed this fan to vent some of the hot air, and it works great. Our condo also has single zone AC and the down stairs stays cool while all of upstairs stays hot. This fan helps draw the cold air from down stairs to upstairs and now upstairs is very comfortable. When the fan is on exhaust and you open a window elsewhere, you can feel it pull fresh air as well as see the curtains being pulled in. The fan isn't too loud, I sleep with it on in the loft. Like others have noted it does seem to be made out of flimsy plastic, but I'm sure if its handled carefully it will last.

Air King 9166 20

I recently purchased a home (stripped foreclosure; the expense of air conditioning was not an option) in Oakland, CA. Like where I used to live (San Francisco), Oakland has a very mild climate - most of the time. However, over on this side of the Bay, it tends to get hotter during the day, which can lead to an uncomfortably warm, stuffy house after being closed up all day. Enter the Air King 9166 (psssssst! I bought it at the company website! It's $30 less and FREE overnight shipping!)I could sit and argue with those who complain that it's not "all metal"; and it's not. However, the blades, motor, fan grill, primary housing and extensions are metal, which is all that matters to me. There is a decorative plastic cover, which I find perfectly acceptable as it doesn't affect the performance in any way.And WOW does this fan perform! I came home shortly after dusk to a 77 degree house after a fairly warm day. Outside, the temperature was in the 60s. I like it cool; I switched the fan to "medium" exhaust, cracked open a couple of windows and my house temp was 70 degrees in less than 30 minutes.I'm fortunate to live in an area where the temperature variance between night and day is fairly high - if you do too, you'll love this fan. And at [...] bucks, with little noticeable change in your electricity bill, you will too.

Dyson AM02 tower fan-Silver

I have used numerous fans over the years (round, tower, box, pole, stand alone, etc.) and this is the best by far. Somewhat expensive but I could have bought 2 or 3 for what I spent on all the other fans. The time saved cleaning this fan (5 sec feather dusting) makes this fan an even better fan. So in all I guess I am a "fan" of this fan.

Dr Heater Quartz + PTC Infrared Portable Space Heater - 1500 Watt, UL Listed , Produces 60% More Heat with Advanced Dual Heating System.

I found that the heater generally does what it claims to do, except for the size of the room it is supposed to heat. We used it exclusively in our basement rec room and it had to struggle to get the room tempurature over 70 degrees running on high. Outside tempurature was normally in the mid thirties to the mid-forties. It ran very quietly, attractive and the remote system is great. The heater did not get hot, as advertised. It would probably work great in a smaller room such as a bedroom.

Air King 9025 1/4 HP Industrial Grade Oscillating Wall Mount Fan, 24-Inch

We have a 10,000 sq ft warehouse / showroom space that displays windows, doors, etc. In the Los Angeles summers, the air gets hot, stagnant and humid. We've just installed this fan mounted to our cinder block walls, and it's made a real difference already. Mounting was very straightforward. The fan seems to be built very well, with very little excessive vibration. Oscillating function works well. It's pretty quiet for the size. Also, the breeze can be felt about 50 feet away. Definitely too big for your garage! See pic and good luck!

Lasko Max Performance Pivoting Utility Fan - Model 4962

So, I wanted to see what the value of this fan vs the smaller Lasko fans like this one: Lasko Pro Performance Blower Fan, 4900 or the Stanley brand ( same fan from what I read ). It is about 2 times the width of the 4900. It defn moves more air as a result. I *think* it moves air *faster*, but I don't know for sure, I don't have a precise tool to measure. I've just done the hand test - which one *feels* like it blows stronger?Like the smaller fan, it is quiet, moves a ton of air, has 3 speeds, has 2 10 amp plugs.Don't bother too much with the manufacturer's WordPress website. It is pretty sad. Some of the dimensions are conflicting from page to page, and just plain wrong. With their fans, it now seems that the higher model #'s are in fact larger fans. And Buddha forbid that they place a CFM measurement in with the specs. The only thing that could make this fan or it's smaller brothers poor is if it quit working some time near in the future. In the end, I'm not convinced that it is worth double the price of the 4900. It *does* seem to me that vs competing fans here on Amazon, that this model is a heck of a deal.

LASKO 30 In. Oscillating Industrial Fan

This is a fantastic fan, very heavy duty and very reasonably priced. It would be a little difficult for one person to assemble, but 2 people can put the fan together without any problem. The only complaint I have is the box the fan was shipped in. The sides of the box fold over, and there are tabs along the edges that fit into slots cut into the box bottom. One of the small parts bags inside my box had split open during shipment, scattering nuts, bolts and washers. Some of those small parts fell out during shipment through the slits in the bottom of the box. I had to make a trip to the hardware store before I could assemble the fan. Once I got it put together, though, I was really impressed. This fan will really move a lot of air around. It's an industrial fan, though, so it's better suited for a garage or workshop. It's way too noisy for a bedroom fan. It would be like trying to sleep with a small plane taking off all night.
