Calphalon HE600CG Removable-Plate Nonstick Countertop Grill

I read the reviews after I bought the HE600CG. I was wondering what they were talking about. I could read the dials, it looks well made. It looks like it belongs in a restaurant rather than a kitchen. It has a better (than the Cusinart and Foreman) warranty , including 5 yrs on the non-stick coating. It cleaned up great and took no longer to heat up than the Foreman I replaced it with. Then I realized that some of the reviewers wanted the carmelized meat they get on an outdoor grill. They prefer burnt carbon over fully cooked meat. Sure.. it looks different. It also looked different in my Foreman grill. But no red juices, so it is cooked. Of course, I did the math and figured out to cook it longer than the recommended time. I would start at 12 minutes at 450 degrees if you have a full thick breast.I liked the timer. It actually shuts the unit off. It is better made than the Cusinart GR4. Side by side, you see the differences. I like being able to adjust the height of the top plate. The Cusinart GR4 has to cups that are easy to slide away or fall and leave a mess on the countertop. There are also drainage issues with the GR4, read the reviews on the GR4.This is definitely the Rolls Royce of indoor grills. My panel has not fallen off, no dents and the no-stick surface cleaned with the wipe of a wet paper towel. Everything is as advertised.I guess it is all about expectations. Some people want burnt(carmelized) meat. My chicken breast came out just fine. Pale, yes, but cooked and…

Coleman 9941-768 Road Trip Grill LX (Blue)

I bought the Coleman RoadTrip Grill last summer to replace my 20-year old portable CharBroil gas grill. I spent quite a bit of time researching both the Coleman grill and the CharBroil/Thermos Grill2Go. I chose the Coleman because of it's versatility. I purchased the optional carrying case, stove grate, and additional grill section to go along with the grill section and griddle section that came with the unit. It's easy to light and stays lit on windy days. Cleanup is a breeze since almost every surface is porcelain enamel or non-stick coated. I use it almost exclusively for tailgating and get lots of questions about it at the stadium. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Holland Companion PROPANE Portable Grill, No Flare-up BBQ Grill

We have had this grill for almost a year and have never tasted anything else grilled to this level. Relatives have the normal-sized version so we had some prior experience, and the Companion was a perfect present. I could repeat myself endlessly of how wonderful this grill is (and constantly do whenever I find friends who are in search of a new grill), but instead will challenge anyone to find a better grill. To be fair I will list the only con I can think of: We didn't really clean it for about 6 months so it took about 2 hours of heavy scrubbing to get it clean again. But then again, how many grills ever get completely shiny after half a year of heavy use?Bottom Line: BUY THIS GRILL!!! Meat only needs to be flipped a max of two times and still cooks evenly. I have never burned anything in almost a year.

Coleman 9949-750 Road Trip Grill LXE

I am a died in the wool griller and Weber guy. We currently have three grills around the house; a horizontal smoker/charcoal grill, a Weber gas Silver C gas grill (10 years old, the best!!) and the Coleman Roadtrip. I bought this grill because I get stuck doing the cooking at other friends and relatives and always had to load up the Weber. This Roadtrip is the cat's meow for this type of grilling road show.I was going to get a Weber Q but it doesn't have the cart, at least not at a sub $200 pricepoint. This grill does the job and then some. I used the grill five times in the last two weeks, trying different approaches and methods, and have come up with a few tips and tricks to make the grill work it's best. Please note that this grill is one of the best I have ever used and certainly better than the majority of gas grills I have used. It's no Weber, but then, it ain't 500 bucks either. So, on with the tips.1. The burner has a "low" to "high" settings. The high settings are ONLY and I mean ONLY for using the burner attachment or griddle attachment. There is no need to use 20,000BTU's of heat on a grill this small. These guys that are melting handles and such are also ruining food with entirely too much heat. They ought to put this in the book, but they don't. So you read it hear first, been grilling for over 25 years, do NOT use the high setting for grilling...PERIOD! Think about it...my Weber, which is almost twice as big and has enough clearance built into…

Weber 4421001 Spirit E-310 LP Gas Grill, Black

Got tired of buying inexpensive grills that only lasted a few years. My wife had owned a Weber grill years ago and she thought that they were the "best". She could give a lecture on the pluses that they have.Since there are only two of us, I found that this was the Weber for us. Not too expensive and small enough to be able to move around.Amazon shipped it thru CEVA, and they called and delivered it on the time agreed upon. Very professional service.OK-now for the review of the grill. Was impressed by the way it was packed. Lots of reinforced cardboard, all the parts were tightly wrapped, and great care was apparent in the effort to prevent scratching or rubbing of parts.HOWEVER, putting it together was a real pain. It took me about two hours, (by myself). But what I really didn't like was the assembly instructions. THERE WERE NO WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS. The entire assembly instruction sheet was a series of photos. Found it very tiring. Maybe I'm just getting old, but I like the "put section A together with 1 inch bolts etc). I was beginning to wonder if Weber made these instructions for people that can't read.I was impressed with the way the parts fit together. Nothing sloppy and all of the holes lined up. Everything seemed to be of exceptional quality. Heavy lid and box.Fired it up after assembly and it hit 600 degrees in about 5 minutes. Perfect blue flame in all burners, and although the top got extremely hot, the side trays remained cool. Nice and even heat all…

Margaritaville G1000 Ride-Behind Tailgating Propane Grill

This grill was purchased for use at tailgates. It is perfect! It has a large capacity which allows us to cook for a crowd. The swing bar separates the grill from the car at just the right distance...not too close to the car, but close enough to avoid extending too far beyond our parking space. My husband is so pleased with the ability to heat and cook that he uses the Margaritaville grill at home instead of the large propane grill he has. We love it!

George Foreman GRP4EMB Black Evolve Grill with 2 Grill Plates, 1 Deep-Dish Bake Pan and 1 Cupcake and Muffin Pan Insert

This grill is quick and versatile. Temperature and time controls are very simple. All grilling/baking plates are very easy to remove and pop in the dishwasher. Thus no greasy cleanup after burgers, etc. At this price a more complete cookbook should be included, since cooking is done on both sides and cooking time is much shorter than other methods.

Char-Broil N480 4-Burner Gas Grill, with Side Burner

Consumer Reports recommended this piece of junk. My grill came out of the box with uneven burning. Char Broil's solution was to keep sending me different parts (3 times) and then eventually gave up figuring it was my fault. Terrible product and terrible customer service.

Wolfgang Puck's indoor Reversible Grill - Griddle

26 of 32 people found the following review helpful 1.0 out of 5 starsPoor design, December 2, 2005 By DONNA RENAUD-APPLE - See all my reviews(REAL NAME)  After using this product twice I was extremly disapointed. The drip tray does not catch all the dripping from frying bacon. The grease ends up all over the counter and melting the base unit that the drip tray fits in. You would think Wolfgang Puck would try this product under all conditions to make sure it is enginered corectly. My counters are level so this is not an issue. I am a dissatisfied customer.
